Indiana’s name means “Land of the Indians”, or simply “Indian Land” and we hoped someday to be able to perform our Metis dance for Hoosier audiences.
This year, that came true with our first invitation to the Indiana State Fair!
While technically outdoors, the ISF features a huge stage easily capable of supporting two-dozen dancers at once. We had ample room to perform, before inviting members of the audience up to learn some of the basic steps.
As a bonus, here are some candid shots of us posing by a rig, riding a golf cart to the Dance Stage, riding Sandy the penny horse at Meijer, and hanging out with the Grim Reaper at Menards. We hope to visit again next year.
