Red Dress Day 2026
The first week of May is always an emotional time for many Indigenous families and communities. Red Dress Day is a time to remember and honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ people, while also raising awareness about the ongoing violence that continues to affect our communities across Canada. This year, we were honoured to be invited by the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition to perform at Red Dress Day 2026 at Ottawa City Hall.

A Song That Holds Our Stories
We were invited to perform at The Redwoods to begin 2026 in a good way, and it was a truly special afternoon. Joining us were our guest of honour and Elder Reta Gordon, along with fiddler extraordinaire Chad Wolfe. Many residents gathered to enjoy the beauty of Métis jigging and live fiddle tunes, including the Westphalia Waltz.
