We were honoured to be invited to speak, dance, and teach at the Anti-Human Trafficking Conference hosted by Minwaashin Lodge. We went into the day knowing we were stepping into a space centred on safety, resilience, and healing. Before we danced, we spoke about why jigging is healing for us as Métis youth.
We were delighted to perform four Métis jigging dances at the 2026 ISET National Gathering where Indigenous organizations come together to learn, share, and build relationships.
Our third appearance at the Indiana State Fair!
Youth4Youth Canada facilitated a workshop on Métis music, history, and culture at the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health. The event was held in the Grand Gathering Space and targeted youth aged 7 to 12 from the Wabano Summer Camp.

This was our first invitation to the She Is Wise Nibwaakaa Inaadiziwin conference. “Nibwaakaa Inaadiziwin” translates to “she is wise in ways of life.”
The annual National Métis Health Policy Forum centres on current health priorities, innovations, and advancements, while also exploring opportunities for new and renewed investments to address these priorities.
On Saturday, we were invited to Rideau Hall to perform at the Governor General’s Winter Celebration.
Indiana’s name means “Land of the Indians”, or simply “Indian Land” and we hoped to return to be able to perform our Métis dance for Hoosier audiences.
Well, it happened with our second invitation to the Indiana State Fair!
