We had such a special evening dancing at the inaugural gala for National Indigenous Collaborative Housing Inc. (NICHI)
NICHI exists to uphold and advance housing as a human right for Indigenous Peoples in urban, rural and northern communities across the country. This year’s event celebrated excellence in service with three national awards and brought together members from coast to coast to coast.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The organizers showed us so much warmth and hospitality.
When we took the stage, the crowd’s energy was amazing. Everyone was enthusiastic and so encouraging. We truly felt appreciated.
It was an honour to share the joy of Métis jigging at such an important gathering. Thank you to NICHI for including us in this beautiful night.
