We were grateful to perform at the Lord Elgin Hotel, Ottawa, for the wonderful people of Metis Nation British Columbia.
Here’s a little sample of our ever-evolving Orange Blossom Special. It was a thrill to have the crowd clapping and tapping their feet along with our steps.
Also in attendance was fiddler Alicia Blore, who we alternated performances with. Like us, she has Manitoba Métis roots, and it was a pleasure to meet her.
MNBC President Lissa Smith and Vice-President Walter Mineault honoured us with praise and gifted each of us with a limited-edition commemorative Terry Fox sash. We presented them with some of our own handmade Indigenous chocolates.
