In a finale that followed some amazing traditional First Nations and contemporary dance styles, attendees of Wabano’s Igniting the Spirit Gala were treated to a display of Métis jigging.
We took the stage with Prairie Fire to close out the cultural performance, before being rejoined by the other performers. The enthusiastic crowd rose to its feet with a standing ovation.
It was very gratifying to receive such overwhelming support for Métis culture and we hope to return again in future years.
